A Second Generation

Welcome to "Shadoe", our latest pet. We wanted a dog that wasnt like Bandit, and we found her with this papered German Shepard. Her papered name will be "Princess Shadoe Longtail." Full AKC pooch, all dog, no wolf in her, she eats food but cares less if you take it from her, not at all like Bandit.

She is currently 5 months old, her parents are both large GSD (German Shepard Dogs) and right now she is 52 lbs. We figure she will push 85 pounds full grown. She has a sable coat. Very silky and smooth. Right now she is a typical puppy, long and gangly, but she is getting powerful and she loves to run. Needs a pinch collar to be manageable on walks, but she is getting better at it. She is both scared and curious, when she sees something new she is hesitant at first, but after the first look, then she is fearless about it. Well, we dont know about baths, so that may change. But unlike Bandit, who never had a bath his whole life, and never even liked getting his feet wet, Shadoe likes water, mud, its all the same to her.

She has completed two rounds of dog training classes with a third one later this summer.

Here is to a long companionship.

Don't be showing this to the wife, she'll be wanting one of her own. Congrats though. Nice to see you writing too.

She's beautiful. And my condolences on Bandit. I know how that loss feels.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhh wonderful! She'll bring you much joy, AND remind you all the time of Bandit. He's never far away while she's near by.

Hi Shadoe. So sorry about Bandit.

Thanks for visiting!
Have a good Monday.

Soo cute! Here's to many long and happy years together! :)

I love German Shepherds. We had one for about 13 years. She was such a sweetie. My favorite memory of her is when my daughter was learning to crawl and Rosie would stand over her like she was protecting her and herding her at the same time.

She was a smaller German Shepherd, topping out at about 90 pounds. She was not papered but she was a purebred.

This pup is beautiful! (Probably more the size of full grown by now, huh?)

We lost our Zoie, and got another pup, Zanna, who is now two years old.

Zanna fills her own space, but I still miss my beloved Zoie...

She's adorable! I wish my dogs liked water; bath time is always an ordeal. Then they just go and roll in the dirt anyway, so what's the use? :)

We had a German Shep when I was a kid. He was really protective over my brother and I (we lived in a not so wonderful childhood) and lashed out at my bio-dad when he tried to hit my brother. Consequently the dog was put down.
I loved that dog.
